Aquaforest Probiotic Reef Salt 25kg Box

Aquaforest Probiotic Reef Salt 25kg Box

Fully synthetic marine salt created for cultured corals. Its formula is designed to create the best conditions for marine animals. The micronutrients and macronutrients contained in the formula fulfil the demand of corals for proper growth and pigmentation. Probiotic bacteria contained in the salt reduce the content of nitrates and phosphates and prevent the growth of pathogenic bacteria in the marine aquarium. After dissolving the salt, freshly prepared marine water can be used immediately. When setting up new aquariums, it is recommended that the first animals are placed no sooner than 10-14 days after filling the aquarium. Due to the content of probiotic bacteria the dKH value should be maintained at 6.5-8.0. Higher values may have a negative effect on the growth of SPS corals

The salt mix is enriched with amino acids and Vitamin C. The addition of Vitamin C encourages growth and has positive effects on the overall health of all aquarium inhabitants

Supplied in a 25kg refill box

Designed for aquariums with more demanding SPS and LPS corals. It does not contain bromides and can be used with filtration assisted by ozone. It does not contain any probiotic bacteria or growth media. Phosphate and nitrate free. Upon filling new marine tanks it is recommended to let animals in not earlier than after 10-14 days. For salinity of 34PSU (1.025 S.G) dissolve about 3.95 kg (8.71 lbs) of salt in 100 litres (22 US gal.) of water

{How Aquaforest salt is tested}
How is Aquaforest salt is tested:

Aquaforest mix their sea salt (each batch weighing 1 ton - 2204 pounds), they take 3 separate samples from each batch at the production stage for testing. Each of these samples is dissolved in 15 liters (4 US gal) RO water. The Aquaforest team performs ICP-OES analysis to check whether the chemical composition is homogeneous and to exclude the presence of undesirable impurities. Note: Even if you mix the salt thoroughly, the composition of the packaging / containers may not be identical. Parameters in containers may vary slightly, and a difference of 2-3% is acceptable. These differences arise due to the different physical properties of the mix and the limitations of the available processing techniques. Deviations in measurements are, however, less than the typical tolerance range for tests commonly used by hobbyists
