• If you’re looking to run a fountain in your pond and you need a pump that’s easy to use, simple to maintain and cheap to run then one of the Blagdon Midipond range would be a great choice recommended for ponds up to 68cm (2’2”)deep
• The cage surrounding the Midipond pumps have a higher surface area than old fashioned pumps due to its modern design
• This means that there are more holes across the cage for bits of dirt and debris to pass through, so your fountain pump will get clogged up less frequently and require less cleaning
• The Blagdon Midipond also come with a pre-filter foam, which will help to avoid your fountain head becoming clogged up with bits of dirt and debris
• The foam is only required when you use the ‘Daisy’ fountain head as shown in the picture below
• The other fountain heads are all large enough to allow debris to pass through them
• It is a good idea to try and raise your pump off the bottom of the pond to help avoid silt and sludge from the bottom of the pond being pulled through the cage and clogging up your pond pump
• The Blagdon Midipond is supplied with a choice of 5 fountain heads, shown in the picture below
• You can use your Blagdon Midipond to run a fountain,waterfall or water feature at the same time as using it to run a fountain
• The Midipond comes with two flow control functions, one for your fountain and another to control the flow to your filter, waterfall or water feature
• The Midipond also comes with a ball joint so you can make your fountain upright even if the bottom of your pond is uneven
• The Blagdon Midipond is supplied with three hosetails; 12mm, 20mm and 25mm (1/2”, ¾” and 1”)
• To use your pump to its maximum capacity we always recommend using the largest size hose possible
• If you want your Blagdon Midipond to power a filter, waterfall or water feature and don’t need the fountain you can attach a 25mm, 20mm or 12mm hosetail straight into the top of your pump
